What is kitchen exhaust duct cleaning?
Kitchen exhaust duct cleaning is the removal of grease from the hood, baffle filters, exhaust ducts and exhaust fan of a commercial kitchen.
Cooking releases grease vapor that cools and sticks to the inside of the exhaust system. Over weeks the layer thickens, reduces extraction and becomes a fire risk, because grease in ducts can ignite from a flare up on the cooking line.
Kitchen exhaust cleaning is a different job from AC duct cleaning. It uses degreasers, scrapers and hot water, and it covers the extract system, not the cooling system.
